Great experience of premium meat cooking and serving. You need to know your budget as it is an expensive choice. This is the only reason for missing the fifth star.
The most tasty Wagyu I’ve ever had.
This is perfection.
On the ground floor it is a meat shop with a wide variety of the best cuts of beef.
In the basement there's a cozy 4-table restaurant for 20 people, and any of the meat can be served cooked at your discretion.
They even have Kobe beef, which just melts in your mouth and is the best meat on this planet.
Their sides and sauces are on point, too.
Meat prices are not hugely inflated, they only charge 30-40€/kg above butcher shop prices for steaks. The best kobe beef was 320 €/kg, in Dubai you could easily be charged 5 times that for lower grade beef.
Visiting this place was a pleasure and definitely worth coming again.
A Bit overpriced for Sure! Decent quality of meet, decent grilled but I have tried the same rebuy in Texas before less than one month for one third of the price. They brought the rebuy cut in stripes, silly of me that I didn't tell them anything as it loses the heat and it's getting cold,Anyhow not anything exceptional just an overpriced place to eat a decent rebuy.
Best dish were the mushrooms ,simple to the point & tasty.
Overrated... Wagyu was nice, but not one of the best. Before I noticed, the staff cut it in to slices, as a result it lost its heat sooner. Some of the starters were average. The place is too small and it feels too tight and narrow to justify it as a premium restaurant. The staff was polite and everything came on time.
The place is different but ideal! We were just two and we could only taste carpacio, salad, black angus filet and profiterole as the last bite. I could mention a lot, about the design and decoration, about the various choices of meat, wine and all the assortments you could taste or buy, about the friendly, smiling and so specialized staff that could answer all your questions or propose customized to your taste but you must find for yourselves and travel all over the world on your table. A must visit! We will be back for more!
The meat was good, and the staff was very friendly. They did forget to serve a side order of a vegetable, but it was on the bill. Was removed from the bill with no hesitation when I pointed it out. (I don't think it was deliberately, they just forgot) When I picked our meat, I was told I was picking Wagyu ribeye, but what we got served was a lesser quality ribeye. (We were billed correctly for what we were served though) As others have written, there is music being played, but we could easily talk without raising our voices.
Customer of the butcher shop. The meat and rest groceries are in outstanding quality! The staff is very polite and has very good knowledge. A very luxurious shopping experience! Though, be prepared to pay accordingly...
We paid 450€ including 15% tip.
1) There is a butcher/raw meat smell down to the restaurant.
2) Very expensive for the quality and for Greece standards.
3) Questionable tactics.
1. First and foremost water. I clearly said that I want tap water (Athens has pretty good water, no point in paying for bottled one). I guess waitress ignored me and was bringing bottled one (5 euros per bottle) and seemlessly was refilling our glasses.
2. Wine. We wanted some wine, waitress proposed a specific one without mentioning anything about the price, turns out it was 30-40€ per glass (I could never imagine they could charge so much for a glass of wine, especially like that, I guess the waitress had no problem maybe to bring a 1000$ per glass wine?? Very generous of her. Btw I have been in multiple wineries drinking very expensive wines, did they chose to give us a 500€ wine per bottle?)
3. Appetizers: very expensive small portions and medium quality. Chicken not well cooked in Cesar salad and gyros was just ok and these at triple the price of a normal grill place in Athens.
4. Meat: Meat was ok nothing special, we got American Wagyu, but it was very overpriced (makes sense since it is imported). Though for some reason they try to sell you the japaneese Wagyu A5 cuts which whoever knows about Wagyu understands that wagyu rib-eye is too heavy for a meal, and for Australian Wagyu it doesn’t worth to give that much money since at states it is 1/3 the price, and they seemed a bit upset that we didn’t want to get the Jappaneese cut.
Overall the place seemed a bit pretentious with a feeling of trying to make you spend more and more money with sketchy practices and not clear communication of prices etc.
With the price we paid we could have gone to multiple Michelins star restaurants in Athens and maybe a bit more to go to places like French laundry in states with three Michelie stars. If in Greece stay local and try the delicious food of tavernas etc.
